To the Buddy Holly Educational Foundation:

Sincere thanks for the dedicated work that your organization is doing around the world for musicians, records, music education, and Buddy Holly’s legacy. Your goals of getting at-risk children interested in life-long artistic pursuits such as singing, songwriting, record production and playing musical instruments are really changing and “saving” the world, one child at a time. Springing from a Texas USA family by the name of “Holley”, I’ve always felt a real, soulful connection to Buddy’s music. So much of what Buddy pioneered has become a major part of my life and career, and I’m grateful to Buddy and his family for all the inspiration. I just know that I wouldn’t be as far down the trail of this wonderful world called music if it weren’t for Buddy’s pioneering of so many things like the 4-piece guitar/bass combo, the singer/songwriter/guitar player, the stage-performing “look” of energy-combined with-class. Every time I step on a stage or record in a studio, that “Buddy Holly inspiration” is right there with me.
